We made the most of our last morning of fluffy snow, before the bright sun melted it away. I think Hudson sledded down the hill about 43 times, and he even took his jeep out for a snowy spin around the house. He also had his first spill on the slippery ice that had covered our sidewalk, and got a tiny little boo-boo on his arm.
This snow was lots of fun, but I think our whole family is ready for SPRING!
Round Two of our Alabama snow started to fall heavily yesterday evening. By nine o'clock, there was a beautiful blanket of snow covering the ground, and the flakes were still falling, big and fast! We got Hudson bundled up so he could go outside and feel the snowflakes. He was so happy! He quickly discovered that this snow was perfect for forming snowballs, and he and Will tossed a few at each other. He also enjoyed just running around the back yard like a wild man, kicking up snow and letting his laughter echo through the dark night.
Hudson was out of school today, due to snow and inclement weather, so we had a fun time making valentines for his class! Dinosaurs are definitely one of his favorite things, so these "punny" valentines made him smile! He is so excited to pass them out to his buddies on Friday!
Hudson has been waiting for snow all winter! This morning, he got his wish!
He woke up to a beautiful, white blanket of snow, and let me know by hopping out of bed,
opening his curtains wide, and saying "I SEE IT! SNOW!!!" This was our very first snow at our new house, so I was pretty excited about it, too.
Will called a little after eight o'clock to let us know that he was at the hardware store,
getting his little guy a sled. A few minutes later, he showed up with a wooden sled and a snow disc. We may only have one snow day a year in North Alabama, but from now on, Hudson will be well prepared! It sure is fun having a Dad who's really just a big kid at heart.
Hudson loved sledding down the hill in our front yard, and making lots of snow angels.
We had so much fun in the pretty snow before the sun melted it away. The weatherman says we may get a second round of winter weather tonight.....fingers crossed!!
