Happy Earth Day!

“If we surrendered to earth's intelligence we could rise up rooted, like trees. ”
--Rainer Maria Rilke

Dear friends,
It has been a while. We are all alive and well, basking in the glorious spring-time sun, and slowly finding our footing in our new home that is so perfectly wonderful and cozy. I won't lie and say that unpacking has been easy....moving in and organizing is no simple task, but each day we do a little more.

We may not have all of our pictures hung on the walls, but the bird feeder is hung in the back yard and we have been enjoying our afternoons outside, tucked among the tall trees, watching as our feathered friends tweet and squeak and fly about. We're taking things slow. Enjoying our home. Enjoying each other. Enjoying life and this BEAUTIFUL spot of the Earth that we are blessed to live upon.

Thank you all for the sweet notes and messages you've sent during my little break from blogging. I've missed you all, and I have a wealth of photos that I just can't wait to post. So today, here's to Earth, and a fresh start....in more ways than one.

xoxo

Thank Heaven for Little Boys.

These two had fun together at our new house, even though there wasn't a single toy or piece of furniture inside, save for the green couches that had just been delivered to the empty playroom. Sometimes you can have a good time with just your imagination...and a little help from your Mama's iPhone.

Hudson went over to his great-grandmother's house, ready to visit with his great-aunts and Gennie. What he didn't know, was that they had hidden Easter Eggs in the yard, especially for him, and each one was stuffed with toys and money! He was so excited...he remembered exactly how to hunt out those eggs, even though it had been a year since he'd done it. He was quite a pro, spotting them in trees and shrubs. And I was quite nostalgic, because that's the same place I used to hunt eggs when I was his size. I have such great memories of my Grandma and Grandpa's house during the holidays....I'm so glad that he got to enjoy this special tradition there.

Someone is finally getting the hang of this crazy little game called Tee-Ball.
(most of the time)
Hudson usually only gets upset at one point during practice, and that is when the whole team runs the bases at the same time. He doesn't like it one bit if someone comes up from behind and passes him. Hopefully, he'll soon learn that it's just a warm-up, not a race.
Practice Practice Practice
makes perfect.
