We need to talk about beignets.
They are amazing, which I knew already,
thanks to my favorite hometown brunch spot that makes biscuit beignets like they're going out of style.
But, the beignets in New Orleans are the BEST of the beignets.
On the second morning of our trip, our first stop was the world famous Cafe du Monde.
(We were official tourists, you know.)
And at the Cafe du Monde, you only order beignets.
Delicious, fabulous, delectable beignets.
And they lived up to their famous name.
Hudson loved the fluffy, golden pillows of soft dough.
It may have had something to do with the fact that they are completely covered in mountains of powdered sugar.
But really, who couldn't love these little morsels of goodness?
