Hudson: "Can you help me eat? You always have to feed babies. Some people say I'm a baby."
Hudson: "Can we paint? But we need paint sauce!"
(As I was running water for my bath, I caught Hudson putting his army men in the tub after I had told him not to do that.)
Hudson: "BUT! I just want to make you happy!"
(While laying in bed talking to me on the night before his first day of Pre-K 3)
Hudson: "Mama? Can you stay with me at school a little while? But, I can talk to the teacher, so that you won't have to worry."
(While Will was reading him a story)
Hudson: "Daddy, can you pause it?"
(I came into my room, and Hudson had four of Will's shoes on his Rudolph stuffed animal's feet and my headband around it's neck.)
Hudson: "Rudolph is going to a wedding!"
(While laying down with me one night trying to fall asleep)
Hudson: "Mama, be still sweetie. It's time to get some rest."
(Hudson and I like to dance to the music in the movie White Christmas. During the song "Sisters", we were dancing around and Hudson stopped and stood in the mirror, and put pennies in his ears.)
Me: "Hudson, no! What are you doing?"
Hudson: "These are my fancies. I need these to dance."
(Hudson and Will were playing in his room when Hudson started pulling the pretend food out of his kitchen and throwing it. Will told him not to do that, but he kept on making a mess. After Will started picking it up, he told Hudson he wasn't in the mood to play, because Hudson wasn't listening. Hudson ran into my room.)
Hudson: "Uggggggh! Daddy is REALLY getting on my nurse!"
(While driving through a parking lot while Will was in a store, Hudson noticed a pet shop.)
Hudson: "Can we go see the dogs and cats?"
Me: "Not tonight, we have to wait on Daddy."
Me: "Maybe we can go tomorrow."
(folds his hands) Hudson: "Dear Lord, thank you for this day. Please let me have sweet dreams tonight about doggies and little boys. Amen."
This kid just gets sweeter and funnier by the second.
