Tate Farms is like the Disney World of Pumpkin Patches.
SO. much. to. see.
My dear friend Pamela and I took our sweet boys to enjoy
a fun Fall day in the fields...
and they had an absolute blast.
We were there from the time they opened,
until they closed,
and we still didn't do every pumpkin-y activity they had to offer.
Hudson and Easton
saw cute baby farm animals
rode on a hayride into the pumpkin patch
went down some majorly fun slides
climbed on lots of tractors
bounced on the big orange bouncy pad
bumped along on a corn train ride
picked out pumpkins.
There were lots of smiles and minimal melt-downs,
so I would say the day was a huge success.
& a funny story:
While we were in the barn with the sweet animals,
Hudson became very interested in the baby bunnies.
I had already explained to him that we weren't allowed
to hold the bunnies, but he could pet one if the worker
was holding it. He seemed to understand that, and
sweetly patted a bunny as the nice girl nestled it in her lap.
Before we left, he decided to make another lap around the bunny pen.
He was quietly looking at a sleeping bunny near the side of the enclosed area,
so I tried to snap a photo of the cute, big bunny perched on a hay bale.
The next thing I knew, I heard Pamela saying,
"Oh No! Hudson!!"
And out of the corner of my eye,
I see him hoisting up a startled bunny.
He had grabbed it by the fur,
and as it dangled I could see the fear it was feeling.
Nervously, Hudson quickly lowered it back into the straw,
unaware of why we all seemed so panicked.
**after going through my photos,
I noticed that I snapped a picture
at the precise time that Hudson
was raising the bunny by the tail.
p.s. no animals were harmed in the making of this post. :)
