Summer's Leaving.

I just heard the weatherman say that North Alabama will be saying
a big hello to AUTUMN weather in about ten days.
I am excited.

Fall is my favorite season...
the cool, crisp air
cozy sweaters
football games
pumpkin spice
etc etc etc
I could go on & on.

even though I know I will be super excited
to welcome the change,
I know I'll also miss the happy Summer days,
and all the FUN things we did under clear blue skies and bright sunshine:
like seeing my sweet little Hudson
dance in the streets in his little summer jumper
as the excitement of a fabulous W.C. Handy Festival parade rolled through downtown.

So while we all still have Summer for a bit longer...let's get outside and enjoy it!
Happy Labor Day Weekend!

p.s. don't forget to enter my giveaway to win a $50 Shabby Apple Gift Card!

Hudson is so adorable in his jumper! I cannot wait until it starts cooling down a little bit. I'm a big fan of fall too, but it's just not the same in Florida.

We drove through a little bit of northern Alabama on our road trip from CO to FL... and it was much more hilly, green, and beautiful than I expected! I bet it's lovely there during Fall.

Fun photos, they remind me of the parades we used to have in my small town when I was a kid. I will miss getting to spend so much time outside as well, but I am definitely ready for fall!

I am so excited that fall is just around the corner, there is nothing like cool, crisp air. Your photos are so goooood! Hudson looks so sweet in those pictures, and you look so cute in that dress.

I love his sweet jumper! And as excited as I am for fall I know that I will miss summer so much as well! It was the last summer with just my husband and I and it was the summer I met my sweet baby girl! It will be bittersweet to say goodbye to summer this year.

We had a great summer but I am ready for some cooler weather. So bring on the fall season. The Handy parade was fun. Hudson really enjoyed getting all that candy.

awe Ashley, thanks for the visits lades! and i'm sending summertime off with massive "see-you-again-soon's" - it's always a bittersweet goodbye to the warmer temps but what you've created here with that dreamy shift dress combo is awesome outfit styles!! you're SO cute! holy, a lot has been happening here and i LOVE everything. the blog design is yet again so wonderful.

Hudson is really getting to be a big boy now too, it's amazing to see the kiddos bodies grow tall and long. i think Will's gonna have to be on his tip-toes to measure up to his son at some point :)

unfortch i went off FB a long time ago so i'm not eligible for your giveaway but it's a good one for sure, thanks for tipping me off anyways! happy long weekend wrap ups. xo ♥

Awesome! I love the Ghostbusters tribute in the parade! Fun! Also, I love that dress you are wearing! So cute!

I am so ready for autumn. It's been HUMID lately and I can't stand it. I want cool weather! Hopefully it will come soon!

It's hard to believe summer is almost over, seeing as it's been 100° and humid as all get out in Omaha lately. But I know it's right around the corner :)

I'm loving all those old cars from the parade, I bet Hudson loved them!

Oh I totally have this inner struggle with balancing the desire for the next season to arrive (beautiful fall in this case) and enjoying the current one (relaxing summer) before it ends... Thank goodness each season has such fantastic things to love! All those things you mentioned about fall put the biggest smile on my face. :) And the post right before this you went on your last summer hike...now hikes in the autumn will have gorgeous, colored leaves and we'll wear cozy sweaters and sip warm drinks! :)

Whoa, sorry for all the rambling. :) That parade with your handsome Will and gorgeous little Hudson looked pretty fabulous to me. Don't you love how already-wonderful things, like parades, are taken up a notch and even more great when you see them through your child's eyes?? I love it :)
