FernGully

Today it is dumping rain outside.
It is cool and wet and gloomy.

But only a few days ago we were outside on a bright, warm afternoon,
exploring "the forest",
as Hudson calls it,
walking between buttercups,
and silently watching as fish jumped in the lake.

The memory of this lovely day,
has me craving the return of the sunshine.
Rain, rain go away.
Please?

Judging from your pictures, you guys go on the best outdoor adventures! I'm hoping we will soon be doing that too. This Portland weather just needs to cooperate first :)

This was a beautiful day. I was so proud of Hudson that day. He walked almost all the way around the pond. Stoping here and there to explore any and everything that cought his eye. This was a great park and I hope to get back to it soon.

LOVE YOU!!!

Oh I sure do hope that young guy on the bridge makes his way through med school.

I was JUST going to say that I'm so jealous of your shorts! Someday it will warm up here, someday. (We seriously had a blizzard pass through on Saturday. YUCK!)
I think FernGully scared me when I was a child because I when I hear the title I do NOT get excited about it, ha ha. But these pictures are GORGEOUS! What a perfect day.

Oh my gosh I love Ferngully. I'm pretty sure the VHS is still hanging out at my parents' house somewhere. Glad you enjoyed the beautiful weather with your beautiful family.

Ashley, beautiful pictures as usual. I love that trail it is so pretty. You will have to walk it in the fall the leaves are beautiful. Maybe next time we can go along with you. Hudson is the cutest thing in these pictures. He seems to enjoy everything you all do. Love the old covered bridge and Hudson's cap!!!!

These pictures are gorgeous! Wow! You guys really do live in such a beautiful place. I may just come visit you someday. Will you take me to all these pretty places if I do?

And a little note. I read Courtney's comment and I totally agree with her. FernGully scared me as a kid, too. Because same thing, the title just kind of gives me not so great emotions. lol

Very beautiful pictures. I love the bridge and the vibrant green. It's similar here, warm, then rainy, then cold then warm,.... we'll see when it finally stays, the warmth that is.

Take care,

Shauna

I just stumbled upon your blog and am so inspired by your photography! You live in a beautiful place but I definitely agree on the crummy weather. Colorado has either been rainy or windy and the blooming flowers make me long for summer days at the river!
