The Saturday before Easter we enjoyed a delicious brunch
with my family at my favorite little place, Another Broken Egg.
I think I could indulge daily on their fresh fruit plates and fluffy pancakes.
--------------------------------------
After brunch we decided to enjoy a bit of a mini-adventure.
We made our way to historic Mooresville, Alabama, the first town incorporated by the state legislature in 1818. The entire area provides a perfect escape to simpler times, with beautiful homes on tree-lined streets and charming churches tucked between green gardens.
The greek-revival Brick Church has a unique steeple,
made of a carved hand pointing towards Heaven.
We thought that was pretty neat.

No Easter weekend is complete without an exciting egg hunt, right? This year, Hudson was surprised to find a few giant eggs filled with toys and goodies mixed in with the other hidden eggs. The look on his face as he pulled the first big egg from behind some flowers was perfectly priceless.

Umm... That big plastic egg is the coolest thing I've ever seen! Where did you find it?
How fun!! Love those giant eggs! I wanted to have an egg hunt, but my sister and roommates didn't think that sounded like a cool idea. Lame.
Those giant eggs are so fun, and how cute is Hudson hunting for them!?! You have such a beautiful family!! Your brunch looks so yummy! Glad you enjoyed a wonderful Easter!
Oh that brunch looks amazing! And how much do I just adore your hair? Looks great. I love his curls and hat, he's such a little sweetheart ♥ I'm so jealous of y'alls gorgeous weather, the day before Easter it was snowing here, haha.

your little man is such a cutie, and you're adorable! such gorgeous photography here, too. Great to discover your blog.
This day was the way to celabrate easter. Started it out with some great food and then off to what we like to do best! Explore! I love that little town of Mooresville. Its like stepping back in history. Then your parents taking us the back way home and your dad showing us the old cival war train bridge. Now we are back at home to find some eggs and roll around in the grass. Heck who knows maybe even get some ice cold water dumped on your head by Hudson.
LOVE YOU AND HAPPY EASTER!!!
