I hardly ever listen to country music.
But as I drove down the highway today,
flipping through the radio stations,
I ran across an old favorite,
and couldn't help but think how
perfectly the lyrics remind me of this day
\\\\\\\\ a cool spring breeze and a sunny sky
\\\\\\\\\ boyfriend jeans and my two favorite boys
\\\\\\\\\ smiles from my parents as they watched their precious grandson play
\\\\\\\\\\\ quacking ducks and weeping willows
"It's a great day to be alive
I know the sun's still shinin when I close my eyes
There's some hard times in the neigborhood
But why can't every day be just this good?"
So, thanks for the reminder, Travis Tritt.
It is INDEED a great day to be alive.

PS. LOOOOVE the outfit! Did you buy your jeans like that or did you make the holes by falling on your knees while rollerblading and tearing the jeans in the process like me? Boo! Love them though!
LOVE that song! Again, you are such a talented photog!
Haha, country music is so shamelessly hokey, isn't it? That's whats so timeless about it... sometimes you just can't help but to sing along. :-)

Today and everyday is a great day to be alive. I start each day bu looking over at you and thinking how lucky I am to have you in my life. Then as I am leaving to go to work I pop in to check on the little guy. I am so thankful for the both of you and all of the happiness ya'll bring me. As for that day at the park. How much fun we all had as a family. We just had so much fun laughing, playing, and talking as a family.
