For the past week the temperature has been in the upper 60's.

We're talking "no coat" weather.

Weird.
I guess you never know what to expect during an Alabama winter.
Then, yesterday, it snowed.
Hudson and I took full advantage of the tiny flakes and ran outside to play.
There wasn't much, but, for a few glorious minutes the snow fell hard and fast,
and it was quite lovely.
Oh, hello, January....

I am SO in the same boat! The weather is just too bipolar here. 60° Tuesday, 25° Wednesday with snow, 15° Thursday with crazy winds so it felt colder, and Sunday it is supposed to be 54°. What is up with that?!

SNOW? It's 65 degrees in my part of california and we haven't had rain in more than 2 months! It's crazy. My body is aching for some rain. It's the longest drought we'd had in over 20 years! Let's house swap for a few days so I can get it alll out of my system :)
I know what you mean about bi-polar weather. Sounds like our Virginia winter has been about the same as yours! Your blog is so charming. Love it!

It's been warm in LA also...as in 70s and 80s warm...like spring not winter. I wish it were a bit cooler here lol :)

same here- we had nothing but warmer weather, then today- SNOW! still only less than an inch, but its something!
lo-o-o-oved that quote :) And I'm so glad you and your sweet boy enjoyed some of that snow!! That was the type of snow I grew up with in Washington...it would come down and fall on our happy faces :) but rarely stuck on the ground...we enjoyed every flake though!

I really wish I could enjoy snow during winter. It's been in the mid 70's to mid 80's here in Southern California for almost a month straight. Doesn't feel like winter at all lol.

How magical! Snow is so foreign to me living in California. I remember it snowed ONCE where I live! How fun, I would love to play in the snow with my little one. I'm sure you and Hudson had a great time! xx

We have had the same crazy weather here. Unfortunately, I was at work and didn't get any photos of the inch of snow that we got before the 60 degree temps melted it the next day. I love these shots of Hudson in his hat, and you look beautiful in that photo!
I honestly didn't think Alabama got snow! Learn something new everyday right! But this weird warm front has been happening, I wake up to it being 12 degrees outside monday morning then on Tuesday I wake up to it being 40 and getting to the high 50's which is super warm from waking up in the teens!
I am still waiting for snow, Soon though. Send some more snow up this way please!!

Seriously! We even went sledding (on pure ice because it hasn't snowed in like a month) Saturday and we were roasting in our snow clothes! It was a perfect day :)
But it's snowing as I type! This winter weather has been so crazy!

that is weird. It was 11 degrees here yesterday and we still haven't had any snow since Oct. 30th (which came out of nowhere and was a fluke). Strange that the south got snow when the north hasn't! Lovely photos!
