Shoes Shoes Shoes

Oh, shoes. They may just be the death of me.

I went to the mall, fully intending to buy a dress. Only a dress. But as I made my way out, I spotted these heels. And I swear they were calling my name. I casually weaved my way through the crowds, snatched up this beautiful shoe, and fell in love. Suede and lovely with a sky high heel, they are just the most perfect shade of peach, technically called coral spice. And although I thought I would just take a closer look, I instead found myself daydreaming about wearing them.

I tried to put them back on the shelf. Really, I did.
But how could I resist?
Those Jessica Simpson heels were destined to go home with me.
And I am so happy they did.

I wore my new shoes out for two birthday dinners, and they received lots of compliments.
They make me want to smile.
They make me want to dance.
Most importantly,
they make me feel pretty.
And what girl doesn't want to feel pretty?

I have a feeling any of these shoes would offer an instant pick-me-up:
L to R: Jessica Simpson Waleo Pumps, Jessica Simpson Beijo Pumps, Jessica Simpson Madisen Flats, Jessica Simpson Wish Pumps

Macy's has a huge collection of awesome shoes that will definitely make you feel pretty.
And if you don't feel like buying for yourself, they also have cute men's and kid's shoes, too

Now, who wants to go shopping?

They're gorgeous! I love the color, especially worn with that amazing black dress.

I wish I was about 5 inches shorter so I could wear heels without looking like a giant. Being just under 6 foot and trying to wear heels is hard!

MEEEEE!! I would LOVE to go shopping with you Ashley! :) I'm glad you got those lovely shoes! And you're right, the most important thing is they make you feel pretty & feminine :)

I've had to put a bit of a stop to purchasing heels lately (major bummer)...being pregnant causes me to have even worse balance than normal. haha But after baby comes I'm definitely rewarding myself with a pair...even just to wear around the house...it's a great calf workout if nothing else right?! :)

I definitely know that feeling--shoes sometimes speak to me too :) They're gorgeous, by the way, I'm sure you won't regret getting them. Happy belated birthday by the way, I hope it was wonderful!

I will just live vicariously through you. Since I'm on maternity leave right now, most of the time when I leave the house I am with my husband. He is 5'6" and I am 5'10". The height difference is fine, but gets a bit silly when I have heels on.

LOVE your ensemble! You always look so cute! So....I am going to an event in late February where I will have to squeeze my still-haven't-lost-my-baby-weight self into something presentable. 400+ people will see me since I am the coordinator, so pajama pants wont cut it! ;) haha But I need you to style me! Seriously!!!! :)

& what girl doesn't love a fancy pair of shoes?

Oh if only I didn't fall over every time I try to wear heels... (insert sad face here). It would be really nice to close the gap between my 5'1" to my husband's 6'7". LOL

Oh how I love shoes. LOVE them. The only problem is I can't wear heels. Well, I can wear small ones but nothing larger than like 2 inches. For some reason it just doesn't work for me. But you know what, it's okay. I just get a little envious of all the amazing heels I see women wearing!

Ashley, I will have to admit, when you described those shoes to me over the phone I was a little uncertain. But I should know better than to question you about fashion. They looked adorable with that dress and I admire you for being able to walk in them.

I love shoes. They are my weakness even more so than shoes. I have an eye for shoes, but not as much for clothes. I know where I have holes in my shoe collection, but I can't tell you what I need for my perfect wardrobe.

And I definitely splurged today on three lululemon workout tops, so I really hate that you got me interested in shoes. I'm trying so hard to resist...
