In the Heights

Date Night rolled around again, this time in the form of a fun night out at a really awesome musical:
In the Heights.
This show was super energetic and full of heart.
Just the way a good Broadway production should be.
And the music was amaaaaaaazing.
The kind that makes you want to run out and buy the soundtrack so you can pump the jams and do a little salsa dancing and freestyle rapping in the comfort of your own home. ahem.

A few things I learned on our night out:
--Sometimes a smorgasbord of salty & sweet snacks makes a perfect substitute for a full meal.
--Rap musicals are unexpected and pretty darn awesome.
--I need to brush up on my Spanish. (Although, I DID know the meaning of "Abuela"....thanks Dora the Explorer!)
--I really wish I had some smooth moves.
--Will doesn't like having his picture taken while enjoying a giant pretzel.

This was a fun date night. Although we did not get to go out to dinner, I think it worked out better. We were not rushed and we got to just sit and chat over some good junk food. Looking forward to our next date night!

LOVE YOU!!!

YAY for date nights! I'd love to go more to musicals. But my husband despises them... And he definitely doesn't like his picture taken while eating - it must be a husband thing!

Aw, that date night sounds like such fun. You seem such a sweet couple! I love seeing what you're getting up to. Ok, I re-read that and it kinda sounds creepy but I promise it's not :)

A musical sounds like a wonderful date night destination. You look fabulous in your dress!! And, how funny that Will draw the line at the pretzel photo. You are lucky that he seems to be very cooperative with photo taking generally!! Another amazing date night!
