It Snowed.

{LISTEN: It Snowed by Meaghan Smith}

Alabama winters are notoriously tricky. Changes are expected from one day to the next. It's not abnormal to experience a dusting of snow on the ground one day, followed by sunny skies with temperatures in the seventies on the next.

While it looks like we won't be receiving a white Christmas this year, we did enjoy our first snow of the season. And it was lovely, in all of it's short-lived, sparkly glory.

After the flakes stopped falling, we bundled up and drove through the melting slush. Our annual quest for an addition to our Snow Village collection found us wandering the small-town streets of Decatur. This year we decided on Round Lake Rink....a cute little skating lodge, featuring a few small, white patches of snow, not unlike the snow we experienced that December morning.

We didn't have a White Christmas, but I almost prefer it that way! All that snow and slush make holiday travels difficult.

Well its a good thing I called you on this day. I was at work this morning and saw the snow and knew y'all probably had not looked out side. Due to you getting ready for our quest for the new Snow Village piece for our village.

I love that first picture!

That first picture of Hudson peering out of the window at the snow is so adorable!

How awesome that you guys do get to experience snow in Alabama! We haven't had any snow yet this year. At least not here in So. MD. They've had some in other parts of that state though!

I wish it snowed here.. Even just for a little bit! It's been kind of on the hot side.. i could've worn shorts today.. but refuse to do so in the winter.. especially since it's been less than a week since winter started...haha!
