....if I share ONE more Halloween post?
I promise it shall be my last.
(until next October, mmmmkay?)
This was Hudson's first experience with "Trick-or-Treating" and there are a few things
that I hope I never forget:
-the way his little voice said "trick or treat" every time, whether it was when we walked up to
a trunk at our church's Trunk-or-Treat extravaganza
or at a friend's front door on All Hallow's Eve.
(and the way he always remembered to say "thank you")
-when he put on his spider costume for the first time, and I asked him what he was, he excitedly replied: "a bumblebee!!"
-the way he always picked out suckers from the treat bowls, opened them, licked them for about 10 minutes, then passed them on to Daddy to finish.
-when we stopped by his buddy Easton's house and he popped about 3 balloons and helped himself to the adult's Halloween sweets from the table.
-the way he loved hanging out by the front door with his Uncle Sam, watching for other little goblins.
-when we stopped by our family and friends' homes on Halloween Night, he would always let himself inside and he would make his way to the couch to sit down. We joked that he must think Halloween means go around town and visit with everyone...while receiving candy.
-the way his little lip poked out when he caught a glimpse of our friend Brad in his spooky clown mask.
-when he woke up the next morning and I could hear him from his bed saying "Halloweeeeeen. Halloweeeeeeen." in a sad voice. I think he was sad it was over.
