Sand like Snow.

November.

 I usually find myself
driving aimlessly through my hilly neighborhood streets,
just so I can admire the turning leaves.

I usually find myself
sneaking out the Christmas music,
singing loudly to everything from Barenaked Ladies to Dean Martin.

I usually find myself
counting down 'til turkey time and dreaming of the holidays.

But right now, I find myself
at the beach.
In November.
And instead of bundling up at my house, under the grey skies and orange leaves,
we're bundled up on the coast, under blue skies and palm trees.

Although the sand is as white as snow,
it's hard to sing "It's a Marshmallow World" when the ocean is roaring outside your window.

I love when the sand is as white as snow. We had real snow a couple of days ago. I hope it is not going to be a long winter, I am already wishing for summer.

WOW- What gorgeous photos! I love white sand beaches. Sometimes I think we rush Christmas. Enjoy November & be thankful for such a great experience.

Gorgeous coloring and everything for these shots. what a really cool place!!! I love Christmas music. We've been listening to it since the middle of October. hehe. I can't wait for Thanksgiving though first. yey!! That's so cool that you went to the beach. My friend lives really really close to the NJ shore (she can walk there in 3 minutes) and says it is always so amazing this time of year but I've never been there during this time. One day I'll have to go visit her to see it myself in autumn.

Oh these photos are so beautiful!! I'm glad you're having a great time. You guys look a little chilly though!

I'm excited because we get to go to the beach this weekend. We're going over to Ocean City, MD with our youth group for a middle school conference. We won't have too much time to spend on the beach (we'll be in the convention center most of the time) but our hotel is on the beach and we will have a little bit of free time. I might wake up early just to take a sunrise picture over the ocean!

hi there beautiful miss ashley :) Driving to look for leaves and counting down til Thanksgiving and Christmas are wonderful...but I think taking a little time away to the beach (even in November) sounds fantastic!! Looks like it was still chilly enough to remind you that it is almost winter...but the water, the trees, and that gorgeous white sand seemed magical!! :) And Hudson's hat and your sweater are FAB.U.LOUS.

Well a Bad Day at the Beach beats a good day at the office. You are corret though Swoop. I am more about going to the mountains this time of the year. Although I could go to the beach any time of the year. There is just someting about it that just seems to take away all the stress in life. Great food long walks on the beach and just the sound of the ocean.

Great pictures Swoop. The sand did look and at times feel like snow.

LOVE YOU!!!
