Carve out time for nonsense.

Our Halloween was filled to the brim with good times & sweet treats....
and the days and nights leading up to the haunting holiday were quite spooktacular, as well.

Will and I enjoyed a frightfully delightful date night, eating Italian food and laughing soooo hard at the musical performance Young Frankenstein.

Hudson racked up on goodies galore, before the words "trick-or-treat" even left his mouth. (Our precious little pumpkin deserves lots of surprises!)

Our little guy was happy to help carve the jack-o-lantern this year. He sat and watched Daddy, and even helped scoop out the yucky insides, all while saying "EEEEEEWWW!" After we took our pumpkin friend to the front steps, we lit him up and told Hudson to take a look! He was positively smitten...he sat right beside the jolly jack-o-lantern and smiled so big. We asked him if he liked it, and he leaned over and kissed it....multiple times. Such a sweetie.

What adorable pictures of Hudson's Halloween and all his goodies. He will probably love Halloween as much as his MaMa does. I am so glad we got to see him in his costume. We enjoyed keeping Hudson while you and Will had your date night. Cute, cute little guy.

Are Off Broadway is off to a great start. I am looking forward to this years line up. I would say carving the pumpkin this year was one of my favorite things we did with the main man. I enjoyed watching his little face light up when we lit it up. Now I am off to eat some candy!

LOVE YOU AND GREAT POST Swoop!!!

You have an absolutely gorgeous family!!!!

Looks like y'all had an awesome Halloween!!! We didn't get very many trick-or-treaters this year, so to make me feel better I'm gonna eat all the left over candy! LOL!!!

Have a wonderful week!

a festive date night out to an entertaining play...yes please!! glad you two had a good time :)

and oh I'm sure that your little man made anyone who laid eyes on his little spider costume just melt!! :) Funny story about saying "trick or treat"...Brooks' little friend who is almost 2 and half (gets the concept of trick or treating, unlike Brooks;) would go to the door, hold up his bucket, they'd put candy in it, and then he'd say "Trick or treat!" for his "thank you". How cute is that?? :)

And I would have loved to see Hudson say "eeewwwww!" to the pumpkin innards, but then give it kisses once it was all lit up :)

That's just so precious. I love that he was so smitten with the lit-up pumpkin. I also love his look of disdain as he's throwing the pumpkin piece onto the table. haha Too funny!

I think carving time out for nonsense is the best! Most of the time those nonsense things become the ones you treasure most!

Hudson is one lucky little boy to have parents and Grandparents who love him so much.

You are making some great memories for him.

Three things:

1) Your little Hudson is precious.
2) The smile on his pumpkin is fantastic.
3) It is striking how similar you and your mother look. Your husband is a lucky man knowing you will continue to look as stunning as you already are!

PS Apparently I'm not awake yet. Sorry for all the deleted comments! I'm sure you're getting them emailed to you, any way, but at least they are right on the blog :) .
