Dolla Dolla Bills, Y'all.

This graffiti wall makes me want to sing rap songs.

Lucky for husband (not) I played some random late '90's Itunes goodness and graced him with some subpar rhymin' by yours truly.

As we listened....

I said:
"It's a good thing you didn't know me in high school. We wouldn't have liked each other. I would have been too cool for you."

He said:
"Right."
"By the way, I think it's funny you know all the words to these rap songs and you don't even know what they're talking about."

I said:
"I have no idea."

I said I was cool.
I never said I wasn't clueless.

p.s. I probably really wasn't even that cool.
But who wants to admit to slightly uncool AND clueless?

p.p.s. As I write this post about rap music, I am currently watching The Phantom of the Opera.
Which shows that:
ten years after high school, I have finally embraced my inner geek.
...........and I have eclectic taste in music.
:)

1st, LOVE your outfit...the natural tones are fantastic against the bright graffiti in the background. (and i have totally had a crush on those wedge-boots since the first time I saw you wear them:)

2nd, I've told Adam a ton of times I would have loved to know him when we were in high school!! except he would've been cooler than me. lol

3rd, we both have eclectic tastes in music!! bring on opera, hip hop, and alternative/indie rock. :)

Your are so beautiful, my friend and I am loving that backdrop! What I also love is you taste in music-my hubby laughs when my ipod goes from 80's to rap to country in the first three songs!

And ps- Haley was to cool in highschool, don't let her fool ya:)

This post definitely made me laugh out loud. I listen to rap songs from the 90's that I loved and just now realize how dirty they are. I still don't understand most rap songs today...nacho cheese, beezies, dimes...it's like another language! And I am obsessed with your new bangs-they frame your face perfectly.

Hahaha! One time when Ian and I were walking to the car on our college campus (before we were even engaged), a car came bumpin down the street playing "singin dolla dolla bill ya'll" and without hesitation, I sang along to it. Ian gave me the strangest look and I was just like "what?! i'm cool!"

Oh gosh you are so gorgeous! I love your outfit! Can you come shopping with me! And your hair is amazing! And I too sing songs and I don't even know what they mean...let me tell you a story. I was working at a psychiatric treatment center for at-risk youth. I was taking them on a field trip and I was singing a song and one girl asked me, "Do you know you are singing about marijuana?" NOPE! I did not. And these girls have had drug/alcohol addictions and here we are all singing about them and I am their leader and clueless!!!

That wall is awesome! It does remind me of 90's rap. =) My taste in music is so super eclectic, too! Also, which version of Phantom of you watching? Or I guess were you watching. =)

I must say, I really am loving the bangs on you. I know I said it before but they are simply awesome! Though you could probably do most anything with your hair and you'd still be beautiful!

Too funny! Matt and I usually know the exact same bits and pieces of lyrics to old school songs. We didn't know each other until college, so it is kind of funny!

Very cool wall, and you look amazing in front of it!!

You look great, and I love the graffiti background! Isn't it funny learning about things your husband liked before you met him? My husband and I joke around too about if we would have met in high school we probably wouldn't have dated.

Love this post! Very ghetto :) I also love 90s rap, although my favourite song would probably be 'The Fresh Prince of Bel Air' theme song. That song is AWESOME!!! Haha!

And Phantom love :) Wait, it was you that loved Gerard Butler, right?! I loved him in that movie so much. I watched it three times at the movies. He was on my celeb crush list for a long, long time.
