It's a Marvelous Night for a Moondance.

Autumn is almost here. Gone are the days of slapping on sunscreen at the pool, and I'm totally okay with that. I'm barreling head first into Fall, bidding farewell to flip-flops and picnics and backyard barbecues, and saying hello to cozy sweaters, football games, and pumpkin spice candles.

I love this time of year.

We ventured out, on the first crisp, cool night of September, to the quaint corner bookstore to browse the shelves, and left with warm vanilla lattes and white chocolate mochas in hand. Sweet Hudson had easily fallen asleep in his stroller to the sounds of whispering bookworms, faint sounds of Van Morrison on the overhead stereo, and the comforting hum of the Espresso machine.

Afterwards, we walked down by Cold Water Falls to enjoy the moonlight and the first taste of glorious Autumn.

Well this was a fun night. We should do little outtings like this more often. It was a perfect stop in for a coffee as we walked to Spring Park. It was nice to sit by the water and just talk.

LOVE YOU!!!

Oh my goodness I love bookstores. I love quaint small-town ones the best! That sounds like a glorious way to spend a fall evening. Maybe one of these days I'll have to drive up to downtown and go to the bookstore and then head over to the coffee shop and pick up a yummy drink and enjoy the cooler weather!

Thanks for the idea, dear! =)

Jealous that you're experiencing fall already! It's still in the 100s here. Boo!

I bought new jeans and a pair of tights yesterday... wonder when I will get to wear them.

That photo of Hudson asleep in the stroller is precious.

This looks so perfect. You all look very Autumn-esque! We had our first real hot day and I am already regretting complaining about the cold! Sleepy Hudson is super cute.

my space heater is humming away beside me and i'm bundled up in a huge comfy blankie as i type this. the summer has sorrowly vamoosed the joint but i'm okay with it too lades. seeing all these pics of your team rallying under the fall night skies makes it even that much more wonderful! you two just give that boy all the love in the world and he's going to grow into an incredible man because of it. all the things you do together warms my heart, not everyone's so blessed to have a family that plays together this much. it's a beloved thing to see and share with you!!! xoox ♥

ok ok ok. So when you say that you "ventured out on the first night in september to a quaint corner bookstore," I fall in love with you even more. Because you are SO the person I WANT to become one day. Unfortunately, "quaint" doesn't quite describe me (sad face)

maybe one day?

pictures are gorgeous again AS ALWAYS. I LOVE LOVE your headband and are those yellow Toms that H is wearing?

Tell Coffee Maker to quit being so perfect, he's making all the other husbands look bad.
