last one in the pool is a rotten egg.

Whether it's in the ocean, the river, or the pool....not much beats a dip in the cool water on a hot day.

Will and I are both lifelong H2O admirers.

As a kid, I was the first one in the pool and the last one out. In college, my summers revolved around my apartment complex's swimming pool. Will and I felt the first flutters of love while boating on the flowing waters of the Tennessee River.

I don't mind getting my hair wet. I don't care if my fingers shrivel.

I love swimming.

And little Hudson is loving it, too. He has recently started to "jump" into the pool. He walks to the edge, counts to three, and jumps into our waiting arms. Then, he quickly scrambles up the steps, while saying: "Again?"

Jump & repeat. Jump & repeat.

Looks like we might have a little fish on our hands.
(good thing his swimming lessons start next week.)

Thank you! I hate how everyone complains about hot weather, but they never go out and enjoy their pool! My husband and I live in ours during our hot Arizona summers...and we have no complaints about it! :)

Aw fun. I'm in the process of learning how to swim. I bet little Hudson will beat me to learning, though!

I love that first picture of the pool and the green umbrellas... it looks so inviting! I'm the same way about the water. I grew up living on a lake in Michigan, and I frequently spent the entire day in the lake. Now my husband and I live in Florida, but we really don't visit the beaches enough. This makes me want to go out there and enjoy the water. (:

It is so crazy how there are so many kids who have blonde hair as little babes and grow up having dark hair! My dad was a blonde as a little one and had black hair the majority of his lifetime. Seems your Will had that and Hudson probably will too, right? Especially since you also have darker hair. My husband had blonde curls as a little one as well and it's dark brown now. I had really really really blonde hair that turned only a few shades darker but not by that much at all. While my tiny little one had black hair when he was an infant and it is blonde right now although it looks like it is turning reddish lately (which makes sense because my brothers have red hair and my mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law had red hair too).

Anyway your mom was sooooo fashionable and cute when you were a baby. I love these old photos. As for your own little family, you all look so sweet and always have so much fun. My boys haven't gone swimming at all this summer and I feel horrible about it. I don't know anyone willing to have us invade their pool, either.

Oh I can totally relate! I have ALWAYS loved being in the water!! Eric, not so much. If we're on vacation Eric is happy to swim with me, but that's about it. I sure do hope our babies love the water though! Because I plan on taking them swimming and boating all the time! And maybe Eric will really love it if our babies do :)

You look just like your momma!! That's amazing! I don't look a thing like my momma.. She's super light skinned and has green eyes...My cousins look more like her which is sad...lol But I'm liking your pool post.. I'm such a water baby! I used to be in there for hours when we lived in our apt complex...I love the feeling of weightlessness...

Love this! I hope my kids love the water as much as your family does! I think we need a video of him counting to three and jumping- so cute!

So cute! I love his little damp curls. =)

I actually don't enjoy swimming too much. It can be nice, but I hate getting my face wet! So I hate being in the pool when there's lots of splashing going on. Collin asks me "What are you going to do when we have kids? Just not go to the pool with them?" I tell him I suppose I'll get over it but for now I can not like it. ; )
