A Confession

{LISTEN: I Say A Little Prayer for You by Aretha Franklin}

Hudson,
I've been spying on you.

This past Sunday,
between Sunday School and the worship service,
I had a few minutes to kill.
I told your Dad that I wanted to peek in on you in the nursery.
He told me that I better not let you see me,
because it might upset you.

I crept up to the half-door,
and slowly peeked around
to see if I could catch a glimpse
of my little guy.

There you were, right behind the door,
playing beside the little playhouse
that the nursery girls say you love.

You were pushing a little doll stroller
with a smiling blond baby doll.
You pulled up to the tiny play mailbox,
perched outside the playhouse.
You said "Mail?"
Then you opened the mailbox door, peered inside and said "Oh Wow! Hey!"
Then you shut the door, and scuttled off,
pushing your little baby doll across the room.

It made me so happy to see you in action,
being your little amazing self
without the guidance of your loving parents.

You are spectacular.
Please forgive me for spying.
Because...
I might just do it again next week.

Love,
Mama

Oh CUTE!! I'm one of the nursery girls right now at our church and its so fun to see the kids without the parents. It's so neat to see them bond with other people besides their parents too. There's a couple kids in my class that don't stay in unless I'm there :) makes me feel good haha! I hope my kids are cute and friendly with everyone! :)

Ashley I LOVED this! Because I do the exact same thing! I LOVE peeking in at Gunner playing in the nursery at church. I see him totally differently than when he is at home with me all day. It is so CUTE and fun to see him interact with his friends and sit quietly and do their crafts (say what? who IS this boy?!) I SO KNOW THE FEELING!!!

great post swoopie :)
