Avoid the Steaming Divots.

{LISTEN: The Little Things by Carlos Bertonatti}

I am so proud of my husband, who, along with a small group of young professionals in our town, organized an amazing Polo Event to benefit the victims of Alabama's April tornado tragedy. For a few glorious hours last Saturday, Bluewater Creek Polo Club in beautiful North Alabama became something of a Hamptons satellite, dotted with locals in seersucker, linen and Lilly Pulitzer pinks.

After an action packed polo match in the steamy, summer heat, we spectators enjoyed a feast of Shrimp and Crawfish while listening to the amazing acoustic sounds of local talent Dillon Hodges. And as the sun set over the gorgeous, rolling, green fields, the sound of thundering hooves was replaced by the soft melodies of the guitar. And there was dancing.

AND after a long conversation with the Argentinian Polo Pro at Bluewater Creek, guess WHO signed up for polo lessons??

Me on a horse swinging a mallet? I'll let you know how it goes. :)
