To Be or Not to Be.

The other night, Will and I went out to a local theater production of Hamlet II, to support our good friend who was starring in the lead role.

I was happy to discover that the play was actually a spoof of the classic Hamlet. So, while it was filled with madness and death and the supernatural, it was also filled with tons of laughs. And that made me happy. Because that Shakespeare? He can get a little too deep sometimes.

p.s. Do you like my necklace? I made it! :) I saw a similar one in Anthro, and instantly knew that I just had to make my very own version. He's a fun little elephant.

I LOVE that elephant necklace... perhaps it'll make an appearance in your future etsy shop? I'm crossing my fingers! I LOVE it!
How lucky are you that the play was a spoof?! I love plays but I don't like it when they take themselves too seriously and it seems like Shakespeare tends to be the stuffiest of them all, no? You're gorgeous as always and I love your entire outfit, dress+sandals=perfection!

I enjoy Shakespeare spoofs. Have you ever seen the Rick Morranis movie Strange Brew? It's a Hamlet Spoof. It's silly but my family loves it.

I had to giggle a little, it looks like your dress matches your blog background! Was that planned? Just kidding. You look adorable. And I would love to see a comical interpretation of Shakespeare. I'm a pretty big reader, but I never loved Shakespeare. I think I'm still scarred from 10th grade English class.

I HEAR YA GIRL...oops caps lock was still on from my last comment ; ) hamlet can be a deep well into the psyche, glad it was a lighter version to enjoy.

like Hamlet said (i've memorized this so it might not be the exact line and i'm too lazy to google) "oh God, i could be bound in a nutshell and count myself king of infinite space were it not for bad dreams"

one of my fave quotes ever because it symbolizes our struggles with thought processes and how they encroach on our world with sometimes negative energy. the thing i absolutely love about your space is that it's always a joy and after i leave it, i'm feeling better with a smile on my face. you gotta know i adore you a ton, every time i leave a dear friend after a visit i tell her i love her and even though we haven't met. dear Ashley i love you from afar & just know i'd love you in person too! ♥

pea ess: your little elephant rules, great masterpiece + theater! xo
