That time we vacationed in our own town.

When we lost power after the tornadoes, we took a mini-vacation to the comfortable accomodations of the Shoals Marriott. With room service, a balcony overlooking the pool, and views of the beautiful Tennessee River, we made ourselves right at home.

Over those three days, we found out that a getaway is always great....even if you are only a short, five miles away from your own home.

What a fun little stay in town. It looks like Hudson and yourself had fun at the pool. I sure am glad the Shoals Marriott could fit us in with all the other storm victims staying there.

LOVE YOU

What an awesome adventure! The hubby and I stayed at a hotel on our wedding night that was less than 20 minutes from our house, it was wonderful to stay somewhere new in a place so familiar. I wish your staycation wasn't due to tornados, but at least it looks like you all had a great time!!
Hudson's facial expressions are priceless! I especially love the one where he's relaxing by the pool and the one when he's clearly getting ready for bed time-- what a charmer! He's going to be such a lady-killer!

AWESOMENESS! I know I've said this before (or at least I've thought it) but Hudson's laugh/smile is contagious.

Very good idea! I think there are always places locally that you never think about visiting or taking time to check out that can actually be really fun! Super cute kiddo!

Your little boy looks so adorable, as always! Gotta love the photos of him looking at that little girl in pink. ;) Starting out young. Hee.

That little trip sounded like a lovely breakaway from the norm. I guess a bad situation turned out right in the end for you and your family! Take good care, Ashley! x
