Stop & Smell the Purples.

{LISTEN: Colors by Kira Willey}

"I am purple today. Bright and happy like a butterfly in the air."

My parents have some beautiful purple wildflowers that have spread out across the woods in their backyard. Hudson loves to run back there to pick them. He holds them with his little hand, says "ooooh-weee!", and then "smells" them by blowing on their tiny petals.

I've noticed that every time Hudson sees a flower, he says "Ooooh Purples!" He associated the color with his favorite flowers...so now, even the pink ones and red ones are called purples.

His excitement over the beauty of God's creation reminds me to enjoy this wonderful life. Don't sweat the small stuff.

He reminds me to remember to stop and smell the purples.

This blog was meant for me. I tend to sweat the small stuff. When I see this baby and how precious he is I need to just stop and count my blessings. We had so much fun that day. You look gorgeous as always. You and Will are doing an amazing job with Hudson.

What a sweet street post FACE. I wish the purples in our back yard would take off and grow like your parents. Hudson does love the great out of doors. He was running around to all the flowers in our yard the other day. He is just amazed at all the colors of this time of year. Great pictures of our HAPPY LITTLE MAN and you are BEAUTIFUL as ever in these pictures!

LOVE YA'LL

Ashley I LOVE the new layout! love love love it. And also loved this post. I hope you never get tired of me telling you how gorgeous I think you are (because YOU ARE) and that little boy...if he is as precious as he looks in pictures, well then, he may just rival my little boy for the most preciousness :)

Thanks for reminding me to smell the purples :)

Such a sweet post Ashley! Amazing how we learn lessons and are reminded of what's most important from our little babes :)

"purples"...that kills me :) what a little sweetheart! We have yellow purples (daffodils) in our front yard ;)

I always enjoy looking at your pictures, but today Hudson is EXTRA cute (if that's possible)! I love that little outfit. And his little scrunchy/cheese face is just too much for me to bare haha!

Very precious photos and post! I also love "purples"! This post reminds me of the house I grew up in in South Carolina where the periwinkle grew everywhere but the grass lawn!!

Ahhh these pictures of Hudson are TOO cute. I don't get how you guys can consistently get so many cute pictures of him?!! With P, it's impossible to get a few pictures without him running over to look at the camera.

I love the picture of Hudson right after he smells 'the purples' where his face is all squinched up and he looks like he just heard the silliest thing in the world. Gorgeous pictures!

I really love these photos. I don't think I've ever loved a batch of photos from someone I didn't know before as much as I love these.
