Melting Mama's Heart. One Craft at a Time.

Yesterday, after hearing a lovely sermon at our 11 o'clock church service, we hurried down the winding halls to pick up our little sweetie from the nursery. Although we miss him for the short hour that we are are away from him, we know that he is in the best hands with the nursery staff, and Hudson absolutely loves to go to the nursery on Sunday mornings....we talk about it with him on the ride to church, and when I ask him if he is going to play with the other babies, he always says "Babies?". He loves other babies.

Yesterday, the nursery wasn't too crowded. It was just him, and two other little cuties. Apparently, they had a great time, and even had time for a little activity....because when I popped in the door to see my smiling boy, I saw that he had something for me: His very first little craft. A Valentine heart with his name printed on it, and two little heart-shaped stickers that he had placed upon it, with a little help from the nursery leader.

I never thought my heart could melt over a little white heart. But, it did. Right there in the church hallway.

I can't wait to collect a whole box full of these little surprises.

So adorable and I love that he's holding the heart in the last photos! Melt!

By the way, I absolutely love the gold sequined shift dress you're wearing in your last post. Do you mind sharing where it's from? It looks fantastic on you, especially against your fair skin and dark hair!

Have a lovely week!

What a special feeling I got when they handed me Hudson's first craft. It was three heart stickers but he was quick to pull the small heart back off. When how about our little guy running all over the gym. He just wanted to play with the big boys.

LOVE YOU

aww that is so so cute. <3
I wish that the nursery in my church did things like that for our sons. They just play the whole time with whoever is watching them though.

This post is off the precious meter. Hudson looks so sweet. You will treasure that first little craft. I'm sure I still have your first one. I'm glad he likes the nursery, I know what it is like to leave one crying and crying until
one is brought into "Big Church". I love your red dress.

How sweet! I love when kids give me little craft projects. I bet it will be, or rather I know it will be, even more special when it's from my own kids!

I love the new blog look! I LOVE the font, too. What is it and would you mind if I "stole" it for my blog??

melting my heart too! awe ashley, his 1st craft, so good. my mom kept everything i did from childhood and i think my fave was a wee styrofoam angel i made while in sunday school too! our old church had the best smell, b/c it was all wood, i used to just inhale the goodness and still wish for the scent now, so calming.

you keep that collection going, it'll be like your touch stone one day. those photos of hudson are just terrific, his soft hair, long eyelashes and strawberry stained lips. wow! you are such a beautiful momma, love the red dress! happy monday. ♥

pea ess: did you know....you ALWAYS make me smile? thanks for the best comments ever. xo

Too precious. I can't even imagine. I was never really into the whole idea of children, but after reading all of your Hudson posts (and my coworker's sweet brand new baby), I am slowly changing my mind.
