It's 7 Degrees & Our Noses are Cold.

We went to Nashville to introduce Hudson to one of our favorite holiday activities, ICE at The Opryland Hotel. Each year happy little Tennessee elves create a winter wonderland made completely out of carved ice. Previously, Will and I visited the ICE exhibit and sat in an Ice Carriage with Santa at the reins, and even posed by an icy waterfall. This year, the entire place was decorated in a special theme, based on the old Christmas TV Classic, "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town"! The sculptures were so cute, and incorporated many memorable moments from the movie...including the melting of the Winter Warlock's icy heart and Kris Kringle's transformation into Santa Claus.

And you could only imagine just how cold it was to keep all that ice from melting. It was a very frigid 7 degrees in there. Brrrr! It was literally freezing...which is why we have on those goofy blue coats that are mandatory gear handed to everyone upon entering. Little Hudson had on about 4 layers of clothes, a hat, and mittens, but all the layers couldn't help his little nose that turned redder and redder as we ventured through the ice.

We can't wait to go back when Hudson is a little older....he didn't get to enjoy the best part, the quick trip down the ice slide! Will and I, of course, took turns on the slippery slide, we just couldn't pass it up.

This was a fun quick trip. I am still cold. I hope the next time we go there will be more things we can interact with. You look great in that Blue Coat.
