No, I didn't knit this scarf.

Whenever I wear this scarf, random people stop me and ask me if I knitted it myself. I didn't. I bought it from Urban Outfitters.

As I was browsing in a little shop in Nashville, a lady wearing similar neckwear stopped me by grabbing the little tassels that dangle from the end of my scarf, causing a tightening effect around my neck. "Did you knit this scarf?", she barked. I was a bit afraid to answer."No Ma'am", I meekly replied. "I bought it." I was afraid that if this was the wrong answer, she would rope me in closer for a thorough inspection, but luckily, she let me loose with a casual "Harumph". I continued on my way....in my store bought knit scarf.

But, someday, I shall knit. I'll make scarves, and hats, and gloves, and little knit animals that I'll give as gifts. One day.

Do you knit?

Aw, I would love to learn to knit but unfortunately I don't have much time on my hands... I learned to sew last summer though! :) Hehe, love that colorful scarf!

My Mom has just started to knit. Right now she is making the whole family dish wrags. I wish I could do it, but I am way to ADD to do it.

I did as a girl (my mom did so she taught me). I moved on to other things, but I may just take it up again in the future.
Cute store-brought scarf anyway!

oh my goodness..weird lady! ha I don't knit. I tried crocheting and gave up after awhile ha.

I love how the color of your scarf makes your outfit really pop!

I can't believe some lady almost strangled you with your own scarf!! What on earth was she thinking?!

I knit, but I can only knit straight things like scarves. I bought a kit to make mittens over the summer but I have yet to try it out.

The scarf is lovely, by the way. I love the bright colors!

I love that scarf! The colors are so bright and just plain ol' fun! I can't believe that lady. Some people get really bad handmade snobbery. I make jewelry and if I tell someone some piece I am wearing is store bought, you'd think I had told them I was going to murder their kitten.

I don't knit...but I have a date this winter with my Nana to learn how.

The best way to start knitting is with a loom! It's easy and super satisfying :)

I love when Hudson is in your outfit shots, he's totally stylish too!

Good story. And it is a great scarf.
I wished I knew how to knit. I even bought stuff once, but couldn't figure it out. One day.

i learned to knit once. but i just made a square of knitting - never learned how to finalize an item. super glue? i have no idea. so i don't anymore. and i may or may not ever try again. i'll stick to crafts, home decor, and jewelry.

you look so very comfortable in these pics! we are all getting some cooler weather in the state of AL this week! yay!

It's a nice-looking scarf! And really...who needs to knit when you can just buy stuff that people already think you knitted? :) Just kidding. I tried to knit something once - I got about three inches into a scarf and got bored. Oh well.

For me knitting comes and goes. My grandma taught me as s kid, I forgot how, relearned in college so I could make hats and scarves, quit after a year or so, and recently started knitting a hat again. It's definitely more of a winter craft for me. You could make Hudson some cute hats if you learned :)

I love that scarf! I would have just told the lady that I made it so she'd leave me alone, haha.

I knit a lot... well, I've kind of been taking a break since I had a baby, but I used to knit lots. It's fun and there are lots of Anthropologie inspired patterns that make it really fun. I'm planning several things when I have more free time (ha!).
