The Palace

Craving a nostalgic trip down memory lane? Or maybe you are just dreaming of a toasty grilled cheese sandwich accompanied by a decadent chocolate milkshake....Just a few minutes away from our house, located in the beautiful historic district of Tuscumbia, is The Palace Ice Cream & Sandwich Shop. If you ever find yourself in North Alabama, make sure you detour through the quaint town of Tuscumbia, and check out the small town sights. And before you leave, be sure to enjoy one of the delectable dishes at The Palace....their food is even featured in "100 Alabama Dishes to Eat Before You Die!" Might I suggest the Banana Split?

The three of us explored the community a couple of weeks ago, just as the weather had started to warm up. Hudson always enjoys an outdoor stroll, and he especially enjoyed the beauty of Spring Park. He experienced Cold Water Falls, the world's largest man-made natural stone waterfall, for the first time. He was simply in awe of the waterfall. In the warmer months, there is a fountain light show in the lake each Friday, Saturday and Sunday night at dusk. Water is projected from 51 jets, up to 125 feet in the air. The show is choreographed to beautiful music and dancing bright lights. We can't wait to take Hudson to the fountain show!

I love all your pictures of Spring Park. It reminds me of the times I spent there as a child. The picture of you and Hudson is so cute.
